Bells Brewery dinner @ Cinco Lagos in Milford.

Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of cooking with my pal joe. We go back a few years, to the time we spent cooking on the line at the Forest Grill in Birmingham. At the time, I was the sous chef at the grill, and Joe was one of our best cooks. Now, 3 years later, we are both Executive Chefs at different restaurants. Although Joe still works for Chef Brian Polcyn, I do not. But one day, maybe I'll have the pleasure of working for him again, who knows. So Tuesday night, I wanted to cook with Joe, and hangout. What better night to hangout and cook, than when a brewer is in house?

Iron seared halibut. Fresh Michigan morels. Sesame. Baby carrots. Scallion. Green tea consommé( poured tableside)

Morel and chèvre ravioli. Lobster claw. Sweet corn. Old bay purée.

I made this for some friends/ guests at the Chophouse tonight. They're on a high protein/ low carb diet.

So how lucky are we to be able to help spread joy like this? Chef @Jeremy Kalmus of No.VI Chophouse has finalized the menu for the Moms Day Breakfast in Bed contest. Um yum! All the moms entered are so special, it is nice to be able to recognize one with this very special meal, 4 other runners up who get awesome baskets and the knowledge that so many moms were honored by their families.
