Here is a recipe for a basic cornbread. A friend has requested this, so here it is. Corn bread has a variety of uses, you can eat it as-is, right from the oven, or you can cut it out and use it for an element to a composed dish.
 For instance, you could serve it with a sea scallop and andoullie sausage, as a composed dish. Another great use of corn bread, is with a great fried chicken, and some tasso ham,or a nice smoked bacon.


Corn bread


2c ap flour
2c cornmeal
½ c sugar
1t baking powder
1t baking soda
1t salt
2 egg,beaten
2c sour cream
2/3 c milk
½ c butter,melted
 1/2 c fresh corn kernels

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.use a wooden spoon and mix.
Portion into muffin liners, filled halfway, or into a buttered cake pan,or casserole dish
Bake for 15 minutes@ 4oo degrees
